Police: Teen Suspect Nabbed After Employee At Dutchess Mobil Mart Stabbed

A 17-year-old was nabbed by police after allegedly stabbing a Mobil gas station employee during an argument with the clerk, said police.

Rayquan V. Faircloth was arrested following the event that took place around 5:56 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, at the Mobil Mart located 55 Washington Street in the City of Poughkeepsie, police said.

According to Poughkeepsie Police Det. Lt. Matt Clark, a male customer entered the store to make a purchase. The customer got into an argument with the clerk, which continued outside the store. 

This argument escalated into a physical altercation during which Faircloth allegedly stabbed the 24-year-old clerk several times with a knife and then fled the area, police said.

He was apprehended several blocks away by officers, the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, Clark said.

 The investigation is ongoing into this incident.
